I Love True Blood

So I started watching the show True Blood on HBO and let's just say, I'm a fan.  

First of all Anna Paquin: 

plays the role of Sookie Stackhouse fantastically!  After watching the show I decided to read the books!  I just finished book 2 now on to book 3!  The last season of True Blood was season 3 and I'm itching for the new season to start, but that's not till when...June 21, 2011!!

While the books are pretty good themselves, the liberties HBO took with the story line is phenomenal!  I would like to give props to HBO for tweaking the storyline here and there, because really, it makes the tale of human and vampire to a new level.

The Low Down:

True Blood is a science fiction story about the going public of vampires in modern society.  Some vampires try to integrate in with normal society while other vampires continue on their ways of being people killing, blood sucking animals.  The mainstreaming of Vampires has been made possible by a drink called True Blood, a synthetic replica of human blood:

The story follows Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) with her "special powers" of being able to hear and read peoples thoughts, as she meets, falls in love with and has terrifying experiences with Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) the local vampire.  Sookie and Bill have their differences, obviously, but then Sookie gets tossed in the middle of local and regional vampire wars!  The vampire sheriff Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) has a tendency to call on Sookie for help to read humans minds!


There are vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters and all sorts of not normal creatures!  I highly recommended watching the show and/or reading the books.  Just be ready for some adult scenes, it sometimes is very graphic.
