I'm a Sucker for the Holidays

I live in Sunny Southern California, I'm a native to the state.  This morning is cloudy and 72 degrees, with slight sprinkles...My heart leaps with joy as the nostalgia of fall, holiday, family and friends enters my mind.  I put on some smooth jazz this morning as I sit at my window and look out at the "gloomy" morning, I sip my coffee from my white & green Starbucks mug (wishing it was really hot chocolate) and imagine all the wonderful things that will happen this season!

My favorite time leading worship was during Christmas.  Putting together the Christmas Eve service for the church was something I always looked forward to. If I were to put together a Christmas Eve service today, here's what my set list would like:

O Come All Ye Faithful
O Come O Come Emmanuel
Mary Did You Know
O Holy Night
Hark The Harold Angel Sing
Go Tell it On the Mountain

I may or may not throw in some traditional worship songs to soften the holiday blow; We Exalt Thee, Shout to the Lord or possibly Without You.

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2
